London Hughes

We created a cover star in just three months.

Case study

The Challenge

London Hughes is the award-winning talented British stand up comedian, actor, writer and presenter.

We were asked to build awareness around upcoming TV and radio programmes she was starring in, and to generate publicity for her debut show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

high profile TV, print and online features

The Results

Our talent publicity programme gave London Hughes’ media profile a boost, with event appearances and interviews to both promote her TV roles and position her as a thought leader on the topic of diversity within the industry – a topic close to her heart.

We secured her first cover interview, pitching the idea to PRIDE Magazine, lining up Jamelia and BBC’s ‘Sound of 2017’ Ray BLK as well as arranging for a fashion brand to sponsor the shoot – all in just three months of starting.

Ahead of her Edinburgh Festival Fringe performance, we secured numerous listings and ‘what to watch’ features, along with rising star interviews in YOU Magazine, Mail Online and The Evening Standard’s double page arts section. Interviews off the back of the piece later ran on BBC Newsbeat, BBC Scotland and BBC Comedy Podcast. London is now due to star in Celebs Go Dating on E4 – be sure to tune in!

  • "They’re incredible, the team works so hard. They don’t take no for an answer and their unwavering determination gets results. They think outside the box and love a challenge, not only are they professional and kind but so incredibly smart and such a pleasure to work with.

  • "From day one they believed in me and went above and beyond for me and my career. I’m so grateful to have them on my team and I honestly don’t think you’ll find a publicist that works as hard for their clients as Munch does."
